House-sitting jobs, just like houses themselves, come in different sizes, shapes, and forms.

Some are simply house-sitting to make a little cash on the side. Others may be full-timers, traveling the world from one luxury house to another, while earning money along the way.

However, looking for trustworthy homeowners and convenient jobs can be difficult, especially if you’re trying to do it in unfamiliar territory while traveling. But here are 11 of the best places to find the house-sitting job that will best fit you, no matter what type of arrangement you’re looking for.

If you need to make some money, and even plan your next travel destination while you’re at it, then read on!

1. Care.com

Care.com is a fully equipped online platform for caregivers looking for opportunities, as well as the homeowners who require their services. Their website is intuitive and easy to navigate, and contains a wide selection of job offers.

These include taking care of children, seniors, and individuals with special needs. Additionally, they have openings for tutoring, housekeeping, and pet care.

To find a job here, all you do need to be experienced in at least one of the many services they provide, so if this is your first time house-sitting, then it could be a bit difficult to apply. You also can’t be a house sitter exclusively (as you’ll have to do some caregiving work as well). However, the average salary per hour for a caregiver is $14 per hour.

2. Rover

If you love taking care of animals, then Rover is the place for you! Rover’s services are more pet-centric, focusing on animal sitting and services. According to the website, they are the nation’s largest community of pet sitters and dog walkers.

People that work under Rover will be considered “Rover sitters.” The jobs you can do as a Rover sitter include dog boarding, pet sitting, dog walking, doggy day care, drop-in visits, and house sitting.

The catch is, you cannot exclusively house-sit (and skip the pet-sitting part). With Rover, you will also have to be able to take care of animals. Depending on your local  laws, you may even need a license and other requirements to be a dog sitter.

The good news? Through Rover, you can earn up to $1,000 a month as a pet and house sitter.

3. House Sitters America
